As this system is currently in development it is not being used for the capture and submission of applications to Ethics Committees at this time.

The system is, however, being used to capture clinical trial details for the South African National Clinical Trial Register (SANCTR), and will eventually mean that applicants enter information only once for both ethics applications and the SANCTR.

In order to facilitate the SANCTR, trial information is to be captured at the NHREC Ethics Application account (www.ethicsapp.co.za) and the Ethics approval is to be captured on the SANRR (www.sanctr.gov.za) - the trial information will be automatically available.
